Magdalena Obara
is a Polish photographer, holding a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from The University of the West of Scotland.
Known for her bold, colourful, and creative approach, she brings a distinctive artistic vision to every project — from intimate portraits to dynamic events.
Driven by curiosity and a passion for visual storytelling, Magdalena constantly explores new techniques and ideas to push the boundaries of her craft. Her independent projects often weaves in symbolism and spiritual depth, transforming photography into a form of visual poetry.
Magdalena in her professional photography path had worked for RegenFx Youth Trust, Peter Vardy, Whisky Starmash, Royal Bank of Scotland, Glen Eagles Hotel, ROC Night Club & Function Rooms.
Her achievements include winning 1st place at the BIPP Scotland Student Awards in the Social & Portraiture category, The Green Screen Company among others.

Magdalena has won in 2015 1st place at BIPP Scotland in student, social & portraiture category, 2016 3rd place at The Beauty Photography Competition at The Society of International Fashion and Glamour Photographers, and The MONO Awards 2024 in People Category - Highly Commented.
Magdalena’s photographs have also been featured in the Paisley Daily Express and several alternative fashion magazines.

Theatre studio – photographing rehearsals, workshops and cast members in preparation
for their production of CATS in June.
Neilston War Memorial Association –photographing charity fundraising concert night
historical documenting the people, the performers etc. Pictures from that event are in National Museum of Scotland.
